Dust Breeding?
I noticed the patches of space that had been left by Geddes' work as we moved his work upstairs and I reminded me of Man Ray's piece 'Dust Breeding' http://themiddleofaqueue.blogspot.com/2011/01/dust-breeding.html

Very subtle. The projection was actually visible in daylight, but it doesn't really show up in the photograph...
